What information we collect

Information you provide:

• Name and email address when you create an account or join an event as a guest
• Photos and videos you upload to events
• Payment information — processed by Stripe, we never store card details directly
• Communications you send us

Information collected automatically:

• Device type and operating system
• Browser type
• IP address
• How you use the platform (pages visited, features used)

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the LoopJam service
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, event invites, reminders)
• Process payments via Stripe
• Improve and develop the platform
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your photos or videos for advertising or training AI models.

Who we share your information with

Service providers who help us operate LoopJam:

• Microsoft Azure — cloud hosting and storage (UK/EU regions)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Azure Communication Services — transactional email delivery
• Google — sign-in authentication, crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), analytics

All service providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only use your data to provide services to us. We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Photos and videos

Photos and videos you upload are stored securely on Microsoft Azure Blob Storage. They are:

• Private by default — only accessible to people with the event share link
• Never used for advertising or AI training
• Never shared with third parties except as needed to deliver the service
• Retained for the duration of your event subscription, then moved to view-only access after 12 months

After account deletion, your media is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights under UK GDPR

As a UK resident you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data (right to erasure)
• Restrict how we process your data
• Object to certain types of processing
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@loopjam.events. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and make the platform work. We do not use advertising cookies.

On loopjam.app, with your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type). Analytics cookies are only set if you accept the banner, and you can decline without losing any functionality. Analytics data is not used for advertising and is not sold.

Data retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active and for 90 days after deletion
• Event media: retained for the duration of your subscription, permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by UK law

Children

LoopJam is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at hello@loopjam.events.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
