Why does Loopjam need access to my location, contacts, and photo gallery?

Loopjam requires access to your location, contacts, and photo gallery to provide the best experience possible:

  • Location: This allows us to tag your media with the location where it was captured, adding context to your memories.
  • Contacts: Accessing your contacts helps you easily invite friends and manage contributors for your events.
  • Photo Gallery: This is necessary to save your captured photos and videos to your device and allow you to upload existing media to your events.

If you’ve skipped these permissions, some features might not work as intended. You can enable permissions through your device settings.

Currently, Loopjam uploads your media directly to the event as you capture it, which can cause some delays, especially with slower internet connections. You can still take multiple photos in a row, but it might take some time to upload them all.

We’re working on an offline mode that will allow you to capture media and upload it later when you have a better connection. Stay tuned for future updates!

At this time, events in Loopjam can only be viewed and contributed to by people you’ve added or invited as contributors. This ensures privacy and control over who can see and interact with your event content.

We understand the desire to share your events more broadly, and we’re planning to introduce a feature soon that will allow you to share events publicly or via your user profile. Keep an eye out for updates!
